2:10 PM -That was an exciting Xbox Showcase, with the hits coming in fast. Hard to keep up with it all! But it certainly looks like 2025 and 2026 will be full of incredible new action-packed games. The new Xbox ROG Ally handheld looks great, the shadow drop ofFinal Fantasy XVIwas a big surprise, and, of course,CoD: Black-Ops 7!

12:59 PM -And here we go! The Xbox Games Showcase has begun!
12:32 PM ET, Carrie -Hello there! We are about thirty minutes away from the Xbox Games Showcase portion of Summer Game Fest 2025. There will undoubtedly be several surprises, as has been the case for all of Summer Game Fest so far. I expect we will probably be seeing more ofGears of War: E-Day, and the newPerfect Darkgame that we saw a gameplay reveal for last year.
It’s likely too much to ask for a newElder Scrollsgame update, but I’m hoping for perhaps a newForza Horizongame now thatForza Horizon 5has come to PlayStation. Blizzard may even give a new look atWorld of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion. Following Xbox’s portion, there will also be a special deep dive intoThe Outer Worlds 2.
