Xbox Game Passhas released something new for the service every day this week (beginning February 13), and its latest is the day one release ofCities: Skylines Remastered. The remaster hits digital shelves today, February 15, technically making it a day one release forXbox Game Pass. This Xbox Series X/S version comes with plenty of new features, while the standard version remains available on Xbox One.

Cities: Skylines Remasteredis available on the Xbox Series X/S consoles and Cloud. This remastered version includes 16 more buildable tiles, a quick selection tool, improved precision placements and distance indicators, updated snapping options, new environmental options like coloring and a control panel, the ability to change the time of day, a new tool that lets players impact weather and atmospheric changes like rain and fog, a new map editor, and more. What’s clear is that “remastered” may be a bit of an understatement with all the new content inCities: Skylines Remastered, plus the graphical upgrade implied by the remastered experience.

The constant influx of titles proves the constant refrain that Xbox Game Pass is the best value in gaming, but it has recently been revealed that game sales (particularly new titles) arehurt by day one release on Xbox Game Pass. Whether the trade-off is worth it remains behind closed doors, but many consumers wouldn’t argue with the selection of games on the service.
