How To Play Wordle
Wordleis a browser-based game that can be played from just about any device that connects to the internet. This easy-to-learn yet hard-to-master game has been showing up everywhere; if anyone has logged into social media and seen those green, gray, and yellow blocks in someone’s feed, it is the spoiler-free version of their game board. If anyone is unfamiliar withWordle, here are rules.

All the rules and hints are for the original version ofWordle,which waspurchased by the New York Times. There are many clones out there, includingWordleswith extra letters, themed versions, and exact copycats. To play the real version, they need to head to the NYTs Games site and look forWordle.
First, choose a great starting word. While there are manydifferent strategies for winningWordle, players will want to start with a word with five different letters in it and use as many of the commonWordleletters as possible. Type this chosen five-letter, English word in and press enter. The letters will change color to give players some clues for the real answer of the day.
Wordleplayersthen have to use the clues to try yet another five-letter English word. They have a grand total of six tries to get to the correct answer before they lose.
