After quite a bit of anticipation, we finally know who will play Zelda and Link in the upcomingThe Legend of Zeldamovie. While many expected Hollywood stars, the pair of actors are actually pretty young and up-and-coming artists who will undoubtedly make a name for themselves with these roles.

An English actress, Bo Bragason is the older of the two, born in 2004. She has a fair bit of acting experience behind her, including various television and film roles, most notably in the 2021 critically-acclaimed horror flick,Censor.
She also appeared in several BBC and Disney+ series, making her probably familiar with younger audiences, which should significantly boost the appeal ofThe Legend of Zeldato them.
However, what makes her particularly good for a video game adaptation role is her experience providing motion capture acting inKingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, an animated film adaptation ofFinal Fantasy XVdeveloped by Square Enix’s in-house CGI studio.
Though it has been a while since this role (nine years to be exact) it does give Bragason a lot of useful experience in how video games are transformed into films, which is bound to reflect in how she portrays the titular character inThe Legend of Zelda.
Who is Evan Ainsworth (Link)?
Born Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, this English actor is a few years younger than his royal in-universe counterpart, born on Sept. 25, 2008. Like Bragason, he also has experience playing in a Disney show, making him a recognizable face among younger audiences. Other than that, he also has some horror experience, most notably inThe Haunting of Bly Manoran anthological sequel toThe Haunting of Hill House, produced by Netflix.
Evans also provided voice work for the titular character in Disney’s live-actionPinocchio, while his performance inSon of a Critchnetted him award nominations at the Canadian Screen Awards.
