Wednesdayis setting up a change to the series that will fix a problem with Enid from season 1. From the series premiere on Netflix in 2022, Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) became one of the breakout characters. An original character created forThe Addams Familyspinoff, Enid was paired with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) as her roommate at Nevermore Academy. The two are opposites, with Enid being colorful and friendly compared to Wednesday’s dour outlook and affinity for the color black.Wednesdayseason 2will once again feature Enid sharing a room with Wednesday after they eventually become friends.

Enid attends Nevermore Academy as she is a werewolf, one of theoutcast species featured inWednesday. Enid’s pack is known as “The Furs,” but she spends the majority of the season unable to fully tap into her powers. It’s not until theWednesdayseason 1 finalethat Enid is finally able to transform into a werewolf. As Enid existed primarily on the outskirts of her own pack, season 2 looks to fix a problem with her season 1 arc.

Wednesday Season 2 Is Introducing More Werewolves At Nevermore Academy

The Outcast Species Will Get More Of A Focus

Wednesdayseason 2 will be adding more werewolvesto Nevermore Academy. Given how few interactions Enid was shown having with other members of her species, this will allow her character to connect with more outcasts. Billie Piper is set to play Isadora Capri, a werewolf music teacher. Piper recently made a high-profile return toDoctor Whoas the Sixteenth Doctor. Isadora is described as “a former child prodigy, [she] is brilliant, intense, and enigmatic.” There will also be a new werewolf student, Bruno Yuson, played by relative newcomer Noah B. Taylor. Taylor’s only credited role to date is inLaw & Order: Organized Crime.

Now that Enid is fully able to transform into a werewolf, she should be seen exploring her powers and strengthening bonds to her fellow outcasts. Isadora could be an interesting character to see Enid interacting with as they may have a mentor/mentee relationship. However, given how few details have been made available by Netflix about Isadora, there will likely besecrets about her that get uncovered.

The addition of Bruno may also see Enid splitting time between him and Wednesday. Although Wednesday eventually began to accept those around her, Enid remained her primary friendship at Nevermore Academy, and the introduction of another werewolf student could add some extra drama to the mix.

Wednesday Season 2’s Werewolf Focus Gives Enid Great New Story Opportunities

Enid Can Build Relationships Outside Of Wednesday

Ortega and Myers have stated thatEnid will have changes inWednesdayseason 2, with the former saying Enid’s “a bit more of a badass this time around.” Enid dedicated much of her time in season 1 to trying to win Wednesday over as her friend, but now her character can branch out.Wednesdayis made up of a large ensemble cast, and now that the groundwork was laid in season 1 who the different players are,Enid can branch out beyond Wednesdayand embrace her wolf side.

Having multiple werewolf characters in the cast suggests that more time will be taken to develop Enid’s character. As her kindness and positive outlook were some of her defining features in season 1,the dark supernatural elements at Nevermore Academy may test her limits. While she will enter her next year at school with more confidence, season 2 will likely set her up with even greater challenges.

Enid’s relationship with her family may also be explored more. She was shown having a tense relationship with her mother, Esther Sinclair, during Parents Weekend. Esther pushed for Enid to attend a Lycanthropy summer camp to be able to transform, which Enid declined. Now that Enid has completed her transformation, how she interacts with her family and their expectations may have changed inWednesdayseason 2.
