What This Means For Wednesday Season 2

Wednesdayseason 2 has found a way to bring Principal Weems back without undoing her death. She will act as a spirit guide, replacing Goody Addams, and will advise Wednesday, but the Weems that audiences knew from season 1 will remain dead. This is poised to be far more than a cameo, though, with the trailer indicating that Weems will have a significant presence throughout the second half of season 2.

All four episodes ofWednesdayseason 2, part 2 come to Netflix on September 3.

While there were already manydeaths inWednesdayseason 2, part 1, Christie rejoins a still extensive ensemble cast. Principal Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi), Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday), and the other members of the Addams Family are also featured in the trailer, and their stories will continue alongside Wednesday, Tyler, Enid, and the spirit guide version of Weems.

SinceWednesdayhas already been renewed for season 3, it will be intriguing to see whether Weems remains a central part of the show, or if her new role will be wrapped up by the end of the season. With other characters being able to see or hear her, she will seemingly only be able to interact with Wednesday.

Our Take On Principal Weems Returning In Wednesday Season 2, Part 2

Christie is a phenomenal actor and was one of the many highlights inWednesdayseason 1, which makes her season 2 return all the more exciting. The series appears to have found a clever way to bring her back into this supernatural universe without undermining the events of season 1.

That being said, season 2 already feels like it is juggling more storylines and characters than it knows how to handle. Adding Weems to an already crowded season could make this issue worse. Since she will be helping Wednesday deal with her established problems, though, I hope her inclusion will work. At the very least, it is great to see Christie starring inWednesdayagain.
