Despite nearing it’s third anniversary, the launch of a newTotal Warsince and a new entry on the horizon,Total War: Warhammer 2is not slowing down on new content. Following a cryptic tweet on May 6, developer Creative Assembly has announced a new Legendary Lords pack for their popular Warhammer themedTotal Warsequel.
Just a day after posting a tweet on the officialTotal Wartwitter account which noted that “Something’s on the horizon,” the developer confirmed that a new pack will be available forTotal War: Warhammer 2. Launching on May 21, “The Warden & the Paunch” Lord Pack will bring two legendary rivals from the Warhammer mythos.

Each Lord will be bringing their own factions, objectives, mechanics, units and playstyles for their respective campaigns. The two lords are Eltharion the Grim who leads the Yvresse High Elves and Grom the Paunch who rules the Broken Axe Tribe for the Greenskins.
The announcement via the official Total War Blog provided a FAQ section that goes into more details about the release themselves. Alongside the release of the Lords Pack will be a free content update. This content is the inclusion of the Legendary Lord of the High Elves Imrik and a free mount that will also be made available for download via Total War Access. The update will also feature technical changes to the Greenskins in the form of the “Waaagh!” mechanic becoming a race trait as well as other gameplay adjustments.
Creative Assembly has not slowed down in the last three years, between developing anew entry withTotal War: Troyand continuing supporting forTotal War: Warhammer 2andTotal War: Three Kingdoms. The studio recently did some good will to help those trapped at homeby giving outTotal War: Shogun 2for free.
The Warhammer brand continues to grow beyondTotal Warwith the recent reveal that a newReal Time Strategy game based on the Age of Sigmar world by the Elite Dangerous developersis in the works.
Total War: Warhammer 2is available now on PC and the new Legendary Lords Pack will be available on May 21.
