The newly portedThronebreakerwas in the same vein asGwent, a card game that was introduced inThe Witcher 3.ThronebreakerutilizesGwent’s unique style of card-based combat, but is otherwise a brand-new Witcher story, except for the fact that it doesn’t focus on Geralt of Rivia. Because of the game’s focus on lore, it hasfamiliar jabs atThe Witcherand acts as a prequel to the beloved trilogy. The game’s main characters include Queen Meve of Lyria and Rivia, as she fights against the invading Nilfgaardian Empire.

This new role-playing adventure gives players the freedom of choice, new regions of the world to explore, as well as new monsters to fight.
