What This Means For The Pitt Season 2

Collins' Storyline With Robby Will Come To An End

Ifeachor’s departure comes as a huge surprise. Not only hasThe Pittseason 2 been in production for several weeks, butIfeachor had teased Dr. Collins' rolein the next installment, saying there would be “lots of surprises to come.“As there was seemingly an expectation for the character to return, her exit was unexpected.

At the time of writing,no further details have been given on why Dr. Collins will not return. Her character had a compelling story and worked well with the other ER employees. Her interactions with Dr. Robby were some of the more interesting ones, as they had previously dated and had a complicated relationship that was tied up with personal and professional feelings.

The second half ofThe Pittseason 1 started to show some reconciliation between Robby and Collins, with hints that their failed romance may start again. AfterCollins has a miscarriage during the middle of her shift, she admits to Robby that she had been trying to get pregnant through IVF. She also strongly implies she had previously gotten pregnant with Robby, and had an abortion without his knowledge.

Our Take On Ifeachor’s Exit

It’s A Big Loss For The Show

After Collins tells Robby about her miscarriage, he tells her to go home and turn her phone and TV off. She ends her shift inThe Pittepisode 11, being off duty for the final four episodes of season 1.There is no indication she won’t be returningto work later on, and her absence is notable in the final episodes.

Ifeachor’s portrayal of Dr. Collins was very engaging, and it’s a disappointment that she won’t be a part ofThe Pittseason 2. As the upcoming season will be set on the Fourth of July, there’s every chance her character may just have the day off and could return in the future.
