The Nintendo Switch console has recently seen a high influx of popularvideo game portsto its system. Now, to the delight of fans, developer Nihon Falcom, and its global publisher NIS America have just revealed a solid Switch release date forThe Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4this 2021.

In 2018, Nihon Falcom launched the final installment of theCold Steeltetralogy in Japan first. Diehard fans of theTrailsseries had to wait long and hard before they could finally playThe Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4,which was only released around the world in October 2020.And even then, player access was very limited as the title was locked behindPlayStation 4 exclusivity. Now, with the game finally hitting other platforms and coming to the Nintendo Switch, fans will only have to wait a few more months to bear witness to the series' finale.

In a recent Tweet, NIS America shared thatThe Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4will finally be launched on the Switch this August 07, 2025. Reminding players of what has been going on since the last game, fans were treated to a short video that highlighted the game’s main narrative and environmental setting. The video trailer also featuredreturning characters inThe Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4, which will surely induce a sense of nostalgia for players, making them remember the great storytelling which has made games such a great series to follow

NIS Americaalso shared a follow-up post that highlighted that a new collector’s edition of the game will also be made available for purchase. With the official website already updated, hardcore fans can now have a Nintendo Switch version of all the physical bonuses that come with the game’s Frontline Edition.

With Nihon Falcom busy with anewTrailstitle this 2021,hopefully, theTrails of Cold Steel 4port will be enough to tide fans over. As the company has a tendency to launch its English versions years after, fans may have to wait a couple of years for the next installment in theTrailsseries.
