One of the most anticipated game releases of 2021 is a JRPG.Tales of Ariseconsistently comes in first place in Japanese magazine Famitsu’s weekly polling. Despite its popularity, however, very little is known aboutTales of Arise. That may be why Bandai Namco’s upcomingTales of25th Anniversary livestream is so highly anticipated. With that in mind, Bandai Namco has now provided an official date for its broadcast, along with the promise of new information on the series.

TheTales of25th Anniversary broadcast will officially air on December 15 at 6:00 am ET, so American audiences may have to catch any news after they wake up. The broadcast is said to include details about what’s being worked on in theTales offranchise.Tales of Ariseisn’t specifically mentioned, butTales ofmerchandise, events, and mobile ports of classicTales ofgames have been confirmed. There will also be a musical performance, as well as interviews with a variety of voice actors and developers.

While it’s unlikely that any major revelations forTales of Arisewill occur since this is intended to be a celebration of all thingsTales of, there’s still likely to be some news.Tales of Ariseis still planned for a 2021 release, at least in Japan, following adelay out of 2020. Bandai Namco is likely looking for an opportunity to share more information, which this anniversary stream would be perfect for.

Tales of Arisewill be the first original game released in theTales offranchise sinceTales of Berserialaunched in 2016. Bandai Namco’s said that it’s planning to “evolve” the franchise withArise, starting with a switch to Unreal Engine 4 for the game. Expectations are high for the JRPG, but it still has a lot to prove. That hopefully starts on December 15.
