After aroughly two-week technical test, the rogue-like action RPG sequelHades 2has entered its Early Access period and isavailable now on Steam. While the technical test only encompassed a small portion of the sequel, the Early Access release features a massive amount of content including more levels, environments, enemies, weapons, and fully-voiced characters than the originalHades.

A meaty Early Access launch

While many games tend to be released into Early Access in a rather bare-bones state, that’s far from the case withHades 2. Developer Supergiant Games opted to follow in the footsteps of the originalHadesand go with an Early Access release because it worked so well with the first game. The plan is to use player feedback to continue fleshing out the game and integrating it into production plans throughout the Early Access period.

Even though it’s in Early Access,Hades 2is also Steam Deck verified. I know a lot of people enjoyed playing the original on their Switch, so this is a nice alternative in the meantime if you really want to play the ARPG on a handheld.
