Mustafar is famously one of the deadliest planets in theStar Warsuniverse, even when Darth Vader wasn’t calling it his home. However, that doesn’t mean it’s the only deadly planet in the galaxy far, far away, asStar Warsfans are about to be introduced to, “the most dangerous planet you’ve never heard of.”
InStar Wars: Jedi Knights#6 by Marc Guggenheim and Madibek Musabekov, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, and Aayla Secura areinvestigating the death of a Jedi Masteron a far-off planet. After inspecting the corpse, the Jedi come to realize that the Jedi didn’t die of natural causes, but was actually murdered, presumably by an assassin one of them had met before.
The assassin in question is named Corlis Rath. After allegedly killing the Jedi Master, Rath incapacitated Windu and Secura before battling Qui-Gon Jinn. Jinn had encountered this assassin on an earlier mission, but this time, Qui-Gon was defeated by him. The issue ends on a cliffhanger, but not before teasing the next issue, which promises to bring fans to a new, dangerous planet: Sinsara.
Why Sinsara is Such a Dangerous Star Wars Planet
The blurb at the end ofStar Wars: Jedi Knights#6, teasing the next issue, reveals that Sinsara is “the most dangerous planet you’ve never heard of”. While the nature of why this newStar Warsplanet is so dangerous will likely remain a mystery untilStar Wars: Jedi Knights#7 comes out, fans have been given a few clues.
When Qui-Gon lost to Rath, the assassin poisoned the Jedi, and the toxin was highly fatal. The only antidote in the known galaxy is found on Sinsara, which makes this mysterious, dangerous planet, ironically, the key to Qui-Gon’s salvation. Of course, that also implies that getting the antidote won’t be easy, as the Jedi will have to overcome the obstacles found in this dangerous new world.
Can Sinsara Really Be More Dangerous Than Mustafar?
Mustafar is considered a hazardous planet in theStar Warsuniverse due to its inherent connection to the dark side of the Force. That’s one of the main reasons why Darth Vader decided to make that world his new home, as the planet itself helped him become stronger in the dark side. And that’s not even considering the lava rivers and the overall inhospitable nature of the planet.
Star Warsclaims that Sinsara is the most dangerous planet in the galaxy. Since the previously regarded ‘most dangerous planet’ is Mustafar, that gives Sinsara some pretty big shoes to fill, andStar Warsfans should be excited to see it.
