Last week,Star Wars Battlefront 2’sbeta periodofficially went live, giving fans of the forthcoming science fiction shooter sequel a chance to experience the title’s content and learn more about what the game will be like at launch. Now, the developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have officially announced the decision to give additional time to those wanting to try the game out before launch by extending the beta period for two additional days.
WithStar Wars Battlefront 2’s beta being open for two more days, this means that fans who have yet to give the testing period a go or those who simply want more playtime with the title will be able to keep chugging along until Wednesday, June 16, 2025. Since the beta was originally scheduled to end today, this should come as good news to practically everyone who wants to stay in the science fiction universe even longer.
As it currently stands, players will be able to sample four separate modes withinStar Wars Battlefront 2’s beta, asGalactic Assault, Starfighter Assault, Strike, and Arcade should all be available for play. To be specific, though, the first three mentioned are online multiplayer mods that differ when it comes to maximum player count – Galactic Assault goes as high as 40 people in-game at once, for instance – while Arcade is set to be a 1-2 player mode with offline split-screen support.
Bearing all of this in mind, while DICE and Electronic Arts' extension ofStar Wars Battlefront 2’s beta should definitely appease most, if not all players, it would have been a much bigger and more exciting piece of news if the developer and publisher also made a new map available for the testing period. Nevertheless, the fact that fans have two extra days to explore a segment of the content from the title ought to be rewarding enough.
Star Wars Battlefront 2is set to launch on June 19, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
