Amiibo have been a staple of theSplatoonseries since the first game. As well as being highly collectible figures, theSplatoonamiibo sets are often hard to come by, which can be a frustration for players new to the game. Most of the amiibo currently available provide rewards and come with unique gear sets that can only be unlocked by scanning the amiibo into the game.
The newest game in the series,Splatoon 3,will receive its very own set of amiibo in the months to come. On the main square inSplatoon 3,head towards the giant empty amiibo box and press A. The next screen should ask for the amiibo to be held onto the correct NFC touchpoint. Once this has been done, the amiibo will be pulled into the box in-game, and the exclusive items will be unlocked for use. It serves as a handy way for players to keep that favorite setup saved and ready to go next time it is needed.
Splatoon 3will get its own set of amiibo, including a triple set that containsa blue octoling, a yellow inkling, and small fry.What each of these amiibo will unlock in-game is currently unknown, but it would be wise to say it will likely unlock new clothing items for players in-game and potentially new styles for small fry as well.
