Sekiro: Shadows Die Twicedoesn’t make anything easy - even knowinghow to sprint inSekirocan be confusing for some players. The game also makes it unclear how to do other basic mobility tasks, like diving underwater, which could keep someSekiroplayers from finding certain areas and collecting hidden items.
To dive underwater inSekiro: Shadows Die Twice, players actually need to learn a specific technique. This means that they will pass underwater sections and be simply unable to explore them until reaching a certain point in the game. More specifically,Sekiroplayers have to defeat one boss in particular to unlock the ability to dive underwater.
How to Unlock Diving
The bossSekiroplayers have to beat to dive underwater is the Corrupted Monk. The Corrupted Monk is located in Mibu Village, just beyond the Ashina Depths – Water Mill Sculptor’s Idol save point. Like mostSekirobosses, defeating the Corrupted Monk is going to be easier said than done, but there are ways players can make the Corrupted Monk boss fight much easier on themselves.
Using the Firecracker Prosthetic and the Mortal Draw attack,Sekiroplayers should eventually be able tobeat Corrupted Monk. The reward for doing so is the Mibu Breathing Technique, which lets players dive underwater inSekiro.
How to Dive Underwater
After unlocking the Mibu Breathing Technique, not only willSekiroplayers be able to dive underwater, but they will be able to dive underwater indefinitely. That means that they can explore underwater areas in the game to their heart’s content and without having to worry about drowning.
The Mibu Breathing Technique is a latent skill, meaning players don’t have to manually equip it after unlocking it. Once they have it, they can visit any deep body of water and press the right bumper (R1 on PS4 and RB on Xbox One) to dive underwater and start swimming. And that’s all there is to diving underwater inSekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Sekiro: Shadows DieTwiceis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
