After Nintendo announced thatMetroid Prime 4isfinally in developmentback at E3 2017, fans have eagerly been awaiting any news regarding the upcoming game. Now, new rumors have sparked online discussion by suggesting that the first gameplay for the upcoming title will be revealed in a Direct in January next year.
There’s still no official word from Nintendo regarding the next look atMetroid Prime 4but Reddit user DasVergeben seems to have a good idea of when the title will be shown off once more. According to the leaker, in-game footage will be revealed early next year, with a Nintendo Direct likely set to showcase what the title has to offer.
The leaker, who in the past has correctly announced that theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtleswould be coming toInjustice 2as part of the fighting game’s third DLC pack, claims that Bandai Namco is currently developing the next chapter in Samus Aran’s adventures to be shown off early next year. This isn’t the only claim made by DasVergeben either, and the well-informed gamer shed light on a range of other future products which likely have differing levels of truth behind them.
Alongside the controversial claims thatMetroid Prime 4isn’t too far away, the user also revealed that a newAnimal Crossinggame is in development and Nintendo hopes to get it ready to launch next year. The Switch’s Virtual Console is also reportedly preparing to release, with a subscription service set to make the process viable for its developer.
The rumors should all be taken as almost entirely baseless, as DasVergeben has no evidence to back up the claims made other than having been correct in the past. On a list of leaks that includes a localizedMother 3and aDevil May Cry5announcement, the possibility of someMetroidfootage appearing early next year doesn’t seem entirely implausable but we wouldn’t get our hopes up just yet.
