After years of infrequent updates, Square Enix finally released anew trailer forFinal Fantasy 7 Remakethat showed off some of the game’s beginning areas, including the iconic boss fight between Cloud, Barret, and the Guard Scorpion. The trailer also gave fans a new look at Aerith, but other party members were absent. Fans are still waiting to see what most of theFinal Fantasy 7cast will look like inFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, especially as it pertains to Tifa Lockhart.

At the time of this writing, Square Enix still has yet to officially reveal Tifa’sFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeappearance to the world. However, supposeddetails onFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeleaked onlinea few days ago, potentially revealing what fans can expect from Tifa in the new game.

rumor: final fantasy 7 remake tifa design details leak

According to the leak, Tifa’s design will be “true to the original outfit.” Materia she uses will be visible on her gloves, and her face will be based on her look from theFinal Fantasy 7: Advent Childrenfilm. While it’s too early to say for certain, it does sound as though fans of Tifa’s original design don’t have much to worry about.

For those confused about why someFinal Fantasy 7 Remakefans may be worried about Tifa’s design in the new game, it largely stems from her reputation as a “sex appeal” character. Some have been worried that her design will be toned down in response to today’s political climate, and while that could still come to pass, there doesn’t appear to be any evidence that is the case.

For the most part, it seems as thoughFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeis sticking close to the original design of the characters. Of course, the game has vastly improved graphics and Cloud Strife actually has hands now instead of weird, blocky arms, but otherwise the character design seems consistent.

Rumor has it thatFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill be at E3 2019, so perhaps we will get our first real look at Tifa and the rest of theFF7cast at the show. Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference is scheduled to take place on June 10 at 6:00pm PT.
