A few days ago, amassive leak forFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeappeared online, claiming to reveal important details about the game ahead of its expected E3 2019 showcase. According to the leak, part ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake’s E3 2019 appearance will include the surprise announcement of a playable demo for those at home, but not everyone will be able to access it.

The leaker also didn’t reveal what the demo will entail. It’s possible that the demo will be exactly the same as the playable demo demonstrated on the E3 floor, but we also don’t know what that will entail either. One guess is that the demo will focus on the beginning areas of the game, like the Guard Scorpion boss fight with Cloud and Barret.

Rumor: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo Will Release During E3, But There’s A Catch

Of course, we must also mention the possibility that the leak is entirely inaccurate. While Square Enix itself has teased that we will learn Fantasy 7 Remakein June, it didn’t outright state that the game would be shown during its E3 2019 press conference. Now, we find it highly unlikely thatFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewon’t be at E3, but it’s still a possibility that fans should keep in mind.

Meanwhile, E3 2019 should answer a lot of lingering questions aboutFinal Fantasy 7 Remake. For example, Square Enix recently re-confirmed thatFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill consist of multiple parts, but we still don’t have official word on how many parts the game will be exactly. The same leaker that leaked the supposed E3 2019 demo says it will be two parts, but again, the leak may be inaccurate. Hopefully we get some clarification on that during Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference.

Square Enix’s E3 2019 presentation will take place on June 10 at 6:00pm PT.
