It won’t be too much longer before fans are able to get their hands on Capcom’s forthcomingResident Evil 2remake, but it’s safe to say that many who played the"One-Shot" demoare eager with anticipation when it comes to the title’s launch day. While there’s still a little wait left to go for the full version, fans can at least whittle away some time with an interactive trailer that lets one follow the branching paths of the survival-horror release’s co-protagonists, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Calling it “The Choice is Yours”, theResident Evil 2interactive trailer experience sets up the plot by showing the initial meeting between Claire and Leon, and lets fans pick which story path they wish to see next after the two get split up. Following Claire will lead viewers into the bowels of the Raccoon City Police Department, while choosing Leon will pit him against several bloodthirsty zombies in the offices of the RCPD.

Playing through all of the available outcomes in theResident Evil 2interactive trailer doesn’t reveal too much in the way of new information, but it should offer a fun little diversion for any newcomers who may not be clear on the game’s premise. TheRE2remake itself, though, should provide surprises for both newbies and veterans alike, as Capcom has previously declared thatthe story won’t be exactly the sameas the 1998 original.

Taking everything here into consideration, Capcom hasn’t broken any new ground when it comes to the introduction ofResident Evil 2’s interactive trailer, as there have been other horror games in the past such asDying Light,Until Dawn, and more which put out videos with similar “Choose Your Own Adventure” styles. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if Capcom’s marketing campaign for theRE2remake helps lead the forthcoming title to financial success come next week.

Resident Evil 2is scheduled to release on June 21, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
