A couple of weeks ago, Capcom dropped a short demo for the highly-anticipated remake ofResident Evil 2. The 1-shot demo only gave players 30 minutes to play the demo, but fans quickly found a way to bypass those restrictions andget unlimited time. What’s even more interesting is that during the demo’s short existence, some people were already able to hack it and explore restricted areas.

In a video posted by YouTube user Nekorun, Leon is seen exploring several areas that were initially blocked off inthe 1-shot demo. It is unknown how the YouTuber was able to hack the preview, but it is likely that he used a cheat tool or mod that allowed him to explore the outside of the station even further.

In the originalResident Evil 2, Brad’s zombified corpse can be seen shambling around the tunnel under the front courtyard of the RPD, which is inaccessible in theResident Evil 2remake demo. Some players then wondered whether Brad Vickers would be present in the same location in the upcoming game. As it turns out, Leon will be able to find Brad but not as a zombie this time around. During Nekorun’s out of bounds exploration, the YouTuber went through the same tunnel where zombie Brad is seen in the original, but he isn’t there. However, a small storage room that is also located in the tunnel revealed a S.T.A.R.S. recruitment poster featuring none other than Brad himself.

Of course, this might not be the way most players want to encounter “Chickenheart Vickers” in the remake, but luckily they won’t have to wait too long to find out whether a zombified Brad will make an appearance in the game.

Brad’s poster is not the only nod from other games in the franchise that is present inResident Evil 2remake. During an interview held at Dubai recently, Capcom’s Kaoi and Hirabayashi revealed thateaster eggs fromResident Evil 7would also be present in the upcoming game.

Resident Evil 2releases on June 02, 2025, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
