It’s no secret thatRed Dead Redemption 2is an absolutely massive game. FeaturingRockstar’s largest open world map to date, it’s clear that anyone looking to fully complete it will need to prepare for a significant time investment. However, others may just be wondering how many chapters are in the game so they know how close they are to completing the main story before they worry about completing everything else.
The main story inRed Dead Redemption 2consists of six chapters and an Epilogue (split into two parts) for a total of 104 missions. Needless to say, it will take players quite awhile to complete all of the missions and finish the game’s main story, so anyone who wants to minimize their risk of getting spoilers will want to focus on the story first.
Besides the main story, there is plenty of other activities to do inRed Dead Redemption 2. For example, players can hunt down all of the legendary animals in the game to craft some unique cosmetic items, or they can chill out in towns and play card games. They can also complete dynamic missions for strangers they encounter on the streets, or go hunting for treasure.
As far as financially lucrative activities go, hunting for treasure is one of the best ways players can make money inRed Dead Redemption 2. For example, they can follow thePoisonous Trail treasure mapto get a nice bounty of gold bars, each of which can be sold to a fence for a whopping $500 apiece. $500 may not seem like all that much nowadays, but it went very far in the Old West, and players can use that money to improve Arthur’s arsenal or purchase upgrades for the camp.
Of course, players can ignore all the story missions, dynamic missions, side quests, mini-games, and treasure maps and just explore the open world if they want. Plus,Red Dead Redemption 2’s online multiplayer mode is coming within the next few weeks, and that should give players even more to do in the already massive game.
