9Micah Bell
Micah Bell may not have the intellect or the smarts to keep up with ledgers and mathematics, but that does not mean Micah Bell is without his strength in intelligence. Micah is a manipulator, a liar, and any other foul word one can think of. There’s a reason he is so hated in theRed Dead Redemption 2community, and it all harks down tohim being a rat.
Despite how players might feel about Micah Bell, he is not dumb, more so, he is daft and cunning. Micah will always use his words to get out of a situation, and he seems to be at his strongest when he is cornered. Micah will always seek to be on top of any situation, whether that’s with words or guns.
8Arthur Morgan
Although Arthur Morgan may not have had much of an education or a childhood, the fact that he was raised by Hosea Matthews and Dutch van der Linde makes him a natural at the outlaw life. What Arthur lacks in an understanding of mathematics and science, he more than makes up for with his street smarts.
Arthur is an extremely capable shooter and a genius with a gun in hand. Despite often being seen as themuscle of the Van Der Linde gang, there’s a softness to Arthur in his privacy. Arthur uses his intelligence tocare for those he is fond of, and often uses his logic and common sense to get out of situations.

As the Chieftan of the Wapiti Indians, Rains Fall is a beloved leader and an intelligent man. There’s a sadness in Rains Fall’s character, because the government is stealing his land, and society mocks and murders his people. For Rains Fall, he just wants tolive in peaceand to carry on his way of life without misery.

Rains Fall offers insight into the life of a Wapiti Indian, and the struggles that his people go through day to day. Despite the hardships, he is smart enough to rise above violence, and often uses his head, whether that is with medicinal herbs, or offering great advice.
6Josiah Trelawny
A con man and a trickster, Josiah Trelawny know his way in and out of a situation. There’s a great intellect in Josiah, one that often comes out in full display with all sense of his flamboyancy. Josiah prefers to keep his cattleman revolver by his side and instead indulges in theatrics and verbal altercations that do not involve shooting lead.
Josiah’s at his best when he has an audience to play with, and he displays his intellect through his deception of others. Josiah is so good at what he does, that his very own gang does not even know that he has a family and a secret life in Saint-Denis.
5Dutch Van Der Linde
Dutch van der Linde is a man that always has a plan, for better or worse. There was a time when the Dutch were a great leader with a powerful gang of outlaws, but as the time of outlaws and gunslingers ended, so did the fire and cunning within Dutch’s leadership.
Dutch has played many sides andconjured many plans, some bolder than others, but he always finds a way to put himself on top of every situation. The folly of Dutch is that it is never enough, and he always desires more, and more schemes to poison him with paranoia.
4Hosea Matthews
As the older partner to Dutch van der Linde, Hosea Matthews has more life experience and certainly has a much cooler head. Hosea learned quickly at his age that he needs to enjoy the little things about life, and even tries to pass these lessons on to the younger members of the gang. Without the wisdom and guidance of Hosea’s logic, it’s safe to say that the Van der Linde gang would have fallen apart far quicker than it did.

Hosea is the brains of the operation and has swindled himself into fat pockets of cash on multiple occasions. That is, of course, with the help of the muscle of the gang. Hosea knows how to have fun, but most importantly, he knows what must be done.
3Andrew Milton
Andrew Milton is the modern man, a person that enjoys society and the laws that follow. Milton seesgang membersand gunslingers as outlaws, savages that need quelling so that the new world order may pave the way to peace and justice. Milton’s ideals may be a tad extreme, but he certainly knew the direction of the future and he most definitely wanted to be a part of it.
Not only is Andrew Milton passionate about the future of society, but he is good at his job. As a Pinkerton detective, Milton has become renowned and successful at what he does. There’s no place that the Van der Linde gang can hide, as Milton will always follow the faintest trail.
2Sadie Adler
Sadie came from tragedy after her husband was murdered in their quiet and reserved cabin in the mountains. As a distraught widow, Sadie was taken in by the Van der Linde gang and was quickly accepted into their ranks as one of their finest shooters, and later, one of the finest bounty hunters that the west had seen.
What makes Sadie so intelligent is not only her drive or her loyalty but the lessons that she haslearned on the harsh trail. Sadie has turned grief into vengeance and vengeance into success, learning from her allies to be the best of them all, and with logic on her side.
1Marko Dragic
Marko Dragic is only a minor character inRed Dead Redemption 2, but his Stranger Mission is unforgettable. Marko Dragic is arguably the smartest character inRed Dead Redemption 2, of the sheer knowledge and talent for science that he possesses within his mind. Dragic is the face of three encounters.
The first encounter that players will find Marko Dragic is within a remote-controlled submarine that can fire missiles. This invention is far ahead of its time but is not even the best of his inventions. Marko Dragic’s fatal invention is that of a robot that comes to life. However, the robot soon disappears but can be found near Colter by following a set of footprints. The robot will sit on the peak of a mountain, disturbingly saying “Papa” on repeat.
