WithRed Dead Online’s beta set to launch later this month, it’s no surprise thatRed Dead Redemption 2’s online counterpart is having a few leaks. It began with theAdversary mode leakvia the companion app and has extended further, including the online element’s playable modes.
The current list sits only at Mission, Deathmatch, and Race, with the latter likely to be a well-received featured, as it will likely take advantage of the advanced horse mechanics ofRed Dead Redemption 2. However, the leak has also revealed more game modes that simply aren’t available in the game yet including Survival, Capture, Last Team Standing, and Parachuting.
While these modes seem very typical and self-explanatory, there are a few key notes of interest in this leak. Feud, Leader Feud, and Predator Ability are all related to gameplay in some manner, though it’s really anyone’s guess as to how.
Also, in a manner similar toGrand Theft Auto Online, it’s confirmed that players will have a few options when killed by another player and/or dealing with an aggressive player: Respawn, Inform Law, Duel, and Parley. This confirms thatplayers will be able to duel each otherin the western-themed title, which may excite many who are planning on delving into this multiplayer mode.
One last thing worth mentioning is that the intro cutscene toRed Dead Onlineinvolves a prison breakout, and so likeGrand Theft Auto Online, it seems likely that this multiplayer function will feature some type of character creation as opposed toRed Dead Redemption’s set character list. Regardless, players shouldn’t expect anything vulgar from other players in this game mode, as Rockstar has compiled acomprehensive list of banned wordsfor its latest western title.
Red Dead Redemption 2is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
