This past weekend, Xbox teased the possibility of Ubisoft’s popularRainbow Six Siegebeing added to its Game Pass service. Now it’s official:Rainbow Six Siegehas been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass, and it will be joining the service on Thursday, October 22, meaning fans only have to wait a few days before they can jump into the action.

Rainbow Six Siegeis a big “get” for Game Pass for a couple of reasons. For one,Rainbow Six Siegeone of the most popular esports games, and itbeing added to Game Passshould give a huge boost to its community on Xbox. Secondly,Rainbow Six Siegeis one of Ubisoft’s biggest games, and this could very well pave the way for more Ubisoft games to be added to the Game Pass subscription service.

Needless to say, if Microsoft were to add more Ubisoft games to Xbox Game Pass, it would give the subscription even more value than it already has. Next month, to coincide with the Xbox Series X release date,Microsoft is adding EA Play to Game Pass, and so if it were to add Ubisoft games to the mix as well, it would make Game Pass an absolute must-have for anyone that owns an Xbox console. OnlyRainbow Six Siegeis confirmed for Game Pass so far, but perhaps Ubisoft is using it to test the waters before committing more of its titles to the service.

Ubisoft and Microsoft seem to have a close relationship, with Ubisoft serving as one of the biggest Xbox Series X supporters when that console launches on November 10. One of the most high-profileXbox Series X launch titlesisAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, a fact that Microsoft in its Xbox Series X marketing campaign.

Rainbow Six Siege’s addition to Xbox Game Pass also means big things for Xbox Series X. Anext-gen version ofRainbow Six Siegeis in active development, and one has to imagine that it will be available for Game Pass as well.
