Moving forward in 2019, two of the biggest name releases areRage 2andFar Cry: New Dawn. Each of these games have their own spot on several gamers’most anticipated lists, but it’s worth highlighting that these games do seem similar in a number of ways. For example, both games are set in a post-apocalyptic world and heavily favor the color pink.

Because of this fact,Rage 2took to Twitter for a lighthearted jabbing atFar Cry: New Dawn.Revealing that new gameplay would be coming next week,Rage 2also posted a picture that changes up the cover art ofFar Cry: New Dawn. This new image sees twoRagecharacters instead ofFar Cry’s twin antagonists, Mickey and Lou, take the fore. Furthermore, the title has been twisted to read as “Rage 2 Newer Dawn,” which likely elicited a few chuckles from those who saw it.

It doesn’t end there, though. In a response, the officialFar Cry New Dawn Twitteraccount took the opportunity to call attention to its newstory trailer, andRage 2wasn’t having it. In a glib, tongue-in-cheek response,Rage 2said, “Oh sweet. The game looks great!” Posted alongside this was the classic Spider-Man accusing Spider-Man meme, clearly hinting at the similarities of the two, as well as the hashtag #OnWednesdaysWeWearPink.

This banter was likely a reason many checked out the new story trailer and are excited for the upcomingRage 2gameplay. After all, when two developers can have fun and take shots at each other like this, it can be a well-needed boost for the gaming community as a whole.

Of course, the comments were full of those taking sides, sharing their belief on which game would be better. There’s no predicting the quality of either yet, but one major point of contention for some wasRage 2beingexclusive to the Bethesda Launcher.Whether this impacts the game’s popularity or sales remains to be seen, but bothRage 2andFar Cry New Dawnultimately look promising.

Rage 2is scheduled to launch on July 04, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
