While manyHarry Potterfans would be perfectly content attending Hogwarts and brewing potions, there are certainly some that see a future in Quidditch. While there have been games dedicated to Quidditch in the past, it’s been quite some time since anyone got the chance to ride a broomstick around in a video game. Luckily for those aspiring Quidditch superstars out there,Broomstick League,which looks an awful lot like Quidditch, now has a release date.
Developed by Virtual Basement LLC.,Broomstick Leagueis a fast-paced game in which two teams on broomsticks compete against each other, scoring points by getting a ball through the opposing team’s ring. There isn’t a Golden Snitch, but the game still looks pretty entertaining, featuring a few elements similar toRocket League.It isn’t quite theleakedHarry Pottergame, but it’s at least similar to the Wizarding World.

In a new video posted to YouTube, Blue Isle Studios, the game’s publisher, revealed that the game will release on June 30, 2025, just under a month away. As of this writing, the game is only headed to Steam, though it’s possible that it could make it to other platforms at some point. There aren’t manygreatHarry Pottergamesout there, so fans have to look for the next best thing.BroomstickLeaguemay be the closest that some can get.
For fans of theHarry Potterfranchise, this may seem like something of a dream come true. After all, adedicated Quidditch gamehasn’t been seen sinceQuidditch World Cupback in the GameCube era. That’s quite the gap, so it’ll be interesting to see ifBroomstick Leagueis able to fill the Golden Snitch-shaped whole in the hearts of manyHarry Potterenthusiasts.
Luckily, the game really isn’t that far away, so anyone with a PC will be able to check it out soon. It may not become one of thebest PC gamesof all time, but at the very least it will hold fans over as they wait for any new information about theHarry PotterRPG. Hopefully, there will be plenty of other magical adventures on the horizon.
