The day has finally arrived. After three years of Epic Games Store exclusivity, theKingdom Heartsseries will make its debut on Steam later today, and Square Enix has handily shared exact launch times for when the games will be available for purchase.
We already havea breakdown on exactly whichKingdom Heartstitles will be availablebut, as a quick reminder, there will be seven games across three separate compilations (plus three movies), and you may purchase all of them as part of aKingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiececollection. As for when you can actually start playing them, below is a list of release times for every timezoneas provided by Square Enix:
At the time of writing, no prices have been shared, but I have to imagine the games will cost about the same as they do on other platforms:
While this is a meaty collection of games, and perfect for anyone looking to get intoKingdom Hearts, it doesn’t include any of the mobile games. Said mobile games can’t be played anymore, but you can still download them to watch their cutscenes (or watch them on YouTube) if you crave extra lore and backstory. What’s more puzzling, though, is that this Steam line-up doesn’t includeKingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, a rhythm game spin-off released afterKingdom Hearts 3. It’s available on every other platform, including the Epic Games Store, and yet there’s been no mention of a Steam release. Hopefully, it’s only a matter of time since aside from being a very fun game in its own right, it has important plot details that help lead intoKingdom Hearts 4.
Speaking ofKingdom Hearts 4, the game was sadly absent from Summer Game Fest, and while there have been rumours of it launching in 2025 or 2026, Square Enix has yet to share any official info. Given the publisher intends on“aggressively pursuing” a multiplatform strategygoing forward, perhaps we’ll seeKH4launch on consoles and PC at the same time, which would be ideal.
