E3 is often considered the Christmas of video games, with many video game declarations coming forth in just a few days' time, and with that the window, Sony cannot follow up a May reveal with a standard E3 presentation.Sony already revealed the new DualSense controller that comes alongside the PS5, an interesting move to show the controller before the console, which was also a result of COVID-19.

The DualSense controller became a memeinstantly online, beloved by fans and belittled by others, but the change is probably a good thing, as the controller design has had little progress for decades before the DualSense. It will be intriguing to see how the final design of the PS5 matches with the controller.

Microsoft is rumored to have massive announcements in Mayas well, as the company may also be planning its own reveal in the same month. With E3 not in the picture, it leaves fans wondering when a digital show will happen, and which company will shoot its shot first.
