Originally released back in 2010, PS Plus is Sony’s official subscription service. The service changed a lot over the years, but it remained a popular choice for PlayStation owners who want to play online and gain free games every month. It comes with three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. In the Premium tier, players can stream games from previous platforms directly into their console by using the cloud. According to a new study made by Circana, games subscription spending growth was only up by 2%in the last year, meaning that companies such as Sony and Microsoft have stopped growing their user base for these services. So, adding more features and better games is a strategy to keep attracting the attention of more gamers.
