Sony’s revamped PS Plus aims to compete withXbox Game Pass, which offers a wide variety of AAA and indie games along with day-one access to first-party Microsoft titles. PS Plus Essential is the basic service tier and retains all the PS Plus features that fans have enjoyed for some time now. PS Plus Extra steps it up with access to Sony’s game catalog, featuring hundreds of titles across PS4 and PS5. PS Plus Premium is the highest-priced option and introduces the Classics Catalog, cloud streaming, and game trials.

PlayStation Plus Premium Free Game Trials
Most of the game trials listed above will last for two hours of playtime starting when players launch the game. However, some games likeCyberpunk 2077andHorizon Forbidden Westfeature extended demos lasting five hours. That should be enough time to scoop up plenty of trophies. Should fans decide to purchase the full game, any progression and save files created throughout the play session will also carry over to the unlocked product.
It’s currently unknown how long these demos will be live on the service; bothPlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Passtend to rotate games in and out of their catalogs due to their subscription-based nature. PlayStation Plus Premium and its accompanying tiers are still new, so these demos will likely be available for some time. However, players should still be on the lookout for updates regarding removals and additions to the service; otherwise, they may lose the opportunity to gain some trophies for free.
