In one of her recent streams, she decided to give back to the community that allowed her to build her platform and helped smaller streamers on their own content creation journeys.

Though Pokimane has frequently played games likeAmong Uswith her friends atOfflineTVsince her return to Twitch, she decided to take a break from this for one of her YouTube videos and do something different. She started the video by explaining how she was able to establish her platform and obtain incredible opportunities due to the Twitch community, and because of this, she wanted to donate to her friends and smaller streamers who are trying to make it on Twitch like she has. She said that her goal for the video was to give away $10,000 in gifted subscriptions and donations to various streamers on the platform.
The wholesome video begins with Pokimane gifting 100 subscriptions toSodapoppinand his viewers, saying that he had said nice things to her at a time when she wasn’t used to hearing them. After she gave these subscriptions, she moved on to other streamers, gifting hundreds of subscriptions and donating over a thousand dollars to various content creators on the platform. Many of the interactions were incredibly wholesome, nearly bringing Pokimane or the other streamers to tears at several times throughout the video.
While gaming streams may not have been negatively impacted by the economic recession due to thecoronavirus pandemic, some variety streamers have been hit hard. Pokimane is providing some wholesome and heart-warming content that many viewers need to see during these trying times. Even though Pokimane is a celebrity, she still cares about her community, and videos like this are some of the reasons that her viewers are glad she’s back from her streaming break.
