Pokemon Let’s Gois on the verge of release, but Nintendo isn’t done promoting the game just yet. Lucky fans across the country will have the opportunity to try out the game before it releases for the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Nintendo of America revealed its plans to hold aPokemon Let’s GoRoad Trip tour across the United States every Saturday leading up to the game’s release. Santa Monica is holding the first event which will run to the end of the day. Afterwards, the tour will move on to the following locations:

pokemon lets go road trip jigglypuff

Players who attend the events will have the opportunity to givePokemon Let’s Goa try, as well as access to limited PokemonLet’s Goswag as long as supplies last. At this time, there’s no news ofPokemon Let’s Gotours outside of the United States or in additional locations.

Of course, players who attend the event are recommended to playPokemon GOwhile they’re there. Niantic hasn’t announced any special releases into the wild for the event, but with the large number of congregated Pokemon trainers, there will be plenty of opportunities to befriend fellow trainers waiting in line and trade Pokemon to prep one’s collection beforetransferring Pokemon toPokemon Let’s Go.

Pokemon Let’s Gois widely anticipated, but has also proven to be somewhat controversial to fans of the classic titles. The gameplay has been changed significantly to mimicPokemon GO’s functionality, and other major changes have been made, alteringhow Pokemon Gyms workand introducing a new, friendly trainer that helps the player rather than rivaling them as Blue/Gary once did. Nonetheless, it appears that the game’s free event has had a significant turnout, and the number of attendees will likely increase as the tour continues.

Pokemon Let’s Gowill release on November 16th exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
