Pokemon GOplayers are currently preparing forPokemon GOFest 2019 in mid-June, but that’s hardly all the game has to offer between now and then. Niantic has now revealed thatPokemon GOwill be receiving a new Adventure Week, with the promise of more stardust, EXP, and plenty of opportunities to catch and fight Rock-type Pokemon.
The latest Pokemon Adventure Week will begin on June 4th at 1 p.m. and run through June 11th at 1 p.m. Pacific Time. The event revolves primarily around Rock-type Pokemon, with increased spawn rates of Anorith, Aron, Geodude, Lileep, Omanyte, and Rhyhorn, among others. In addition, Rock-type Pokemon will hatch from 2km eggs during the event, and may also be challenged at Raids.
Players who aren’t overly interested in Rock-types can still benefit from the Adventure Week event. Players will be rewarded with 4x the usual amount of Buddy Candy from walking theirBuddy Pokemon, and spinning new PokeStops will reward players with 10x the usual amount of EXP. Users who can’t start up the game often but have Adventure Sync activated will also be rewarded with a large bonus of 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies if they walk 50 km or more during the course of the event.
While the near future forPokemon GOlooks bright, there’s plenty planned for further ahead, too. Niantic recently revealed thatPokemon GOwill be a part of thePokemonHome Cloud service, which will allow players to transfer Pokemon between the mobile title, Switch, and 3DS games.Pokemon Sleepis also being developed by The Pokemon Company and Niantic, which will allow users to utilize thePokemon GO+ to analyze their sleep patterns, starting in 2020.
Whether or not players are planning to attendPokemon GOFest in-person in Chicago, Niantic is still readily rolling out content to keep players engaged in the game leading up to it. In the meantime, anyone who hasn’t already scored aSleeping Snorlax inPokemon GOshould get a move on, as the sleepy Pokemon will no longer appear starting on Monday.
