The summer’s biggestPokemon GOevent,Pokemon GOFest in Chicago, is officially underway! That means that players at the event are getting access to all kinds of special spawns and bonuses and even have the chance to be the first to work through a brand new special research chain to unlock a Jirachi encounter that will hopefully be tweaked and launch for the rest of the community sometime after the event.
Keep in mind that only players atPokemon GOFest are able to participate in this special research quest line. Some tasks are specific to GO Fest 2019 spawns and locations, so even when a different version of the Jirachi quest launches for the general public, some aspects will likely be different.
For players who are lucky enough to be at the big event, here is what they are tasked with accomplishing…
Task: Spin 7 PokéStops or gyms
Task: Make 3 new friends
Task: Catch 5 different species of Fairy-type Pokémon
Task: Catch 5 different species of Water-type Pokémon
Task: Catch 5 different species of Ghost-type Pokémon
Task: Catch 5 different species of Ground-type Pokémon
Task: Catch 5 different species of Ice-type Pokémon
Task: Catch 3 Unown
Reward: 1 Starpiece
Task: Take a snapshot of Ralts in its GO Fest habitat
Reward: 5000 Stardust
Task: Take a snapshot of Gastly in its GO Fest habitat
Task: Take a snapshot of Hippopotas in its GO Fest habitat
Task: Take a snapshot of Snover in its GO Fest habitat
Task: Take a snapshot of Horsea in its GO Fest habitat
Task: Trade 3 Pokémon from at least 100 km away
Task: Take 3 snapshots of Jirachi
