Overwatch Guide: Every Year of Rooster Event Collectible Item

WithOverwatch’s Year of the Rooster Event currently underway, there are many festive cosmetic items up for grabs – here’s a complete list of all the new additions.

Following up on the successful Summer Olympics, Halloween, and Christmas events,Overwatch’s latest seasonal event – the Chinese New Year-themedYear of the Rooster– is now underway and players around the world are in for quite a treat over the next three weeks. The new event will give players the chance to play a new mini-game called “Capture the Rooster”, which is a unique take on the classiccapture-the-flaggame mode that takes place on a revamped version of the Lijiang Tower.

For most players though, a newOverwatchseasonal event means only one thing: there are a bunch of new collectible items to earn.

Like the Summer Olympics, Halloween, and Christmas events before it, the Year of the Rooster event offers up a wide variety of themed cosmetic items. With Chinese New Year-inspired items that range from new voice lines to seven new legendary-tier skins, including fourbased on the classic Chinese novelJourney to the West, there are many noteworthy collectibles to be earned (or bought) during thisOverwatchseasonal event.

With a three week window to earn these Year of the Rooster items, hopefully this list will help players decide on which collectibles to aim for during thisOverwatchseasonal event. Should gamers miss out on a few items come mid-February, there are more seasonal events still to come – including a rumoredValentine’s Day event– so there will be plenty more chances to grab some special themed skins and cosmetics in the future.
