After theeleventh episode ofOshi no Kowas released on Wednesday, the second season of the anime was announced to be in production, with a brand-new visual and teaser video released. The series gained immense fame on the back of its dramatic 90-minute first episode.
In addition to the teaser visuals, an arranged version of the new B Komachi’s first set from their performance on the Star Stage at the Japan Idol Festival was released to YouTube. As the announcement comes freshly at the end of the first season, no additional details about the upcoming second season are available as yet.

TheOshi no Koanime series is based on the manga series of the same name byKaguya-sama: Love Is Warauthor Aka AkasakaandScum’s Wishauthor and illustrator Mengo Yokoyari. It is currently published Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020, simultaneously published on their Manga Plus digital platform and has been collected into 11 volumes as of March 2023. Yen Press announced at the 2022 Anime Expo that they have licensed theOshi no Komanga has been licensed for release in the US and Canada.
The English translation of the manga has been collected into 2 volumes as of May 2023, with two more volumes set to arrive in August and November. The first season of the anime series produced by staff at Doga Kobo ran for eleven episodes from April until June 2023 with Rie Takahashi cast as the series' poster child Ai Hoshino; Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine and Yurie Igoma as Ruby. The series was directed by Daisuke Hiramaki (Key Animator,Naruto Shippuden), with scripts by Jin Tanaka and character designs by Kanna Hirayama.
The final episode of the first season ofOshi no Kowas evidently gearing up for the next chapter in the narrative, and given the series' immense popularity, especially at its start, the continuation of Aquamarine Hoshino’s quest for vengeance in anime form comes as no surprise. With the mystery surrounding Hoshino Ai’s death far from solved, fans of the anime will be happy tosee their favourite stars shine againin the near future.
