One Pieceis gearing up for some incredible action with episode #1126, and makes episode #1127 and beyond all the more exciting to look forward to. The Egghead arc continues to surprise with one big development after another, and if episode #1126 was as good as it was, there’s no telling how good episode #1127 will be.
One Pieceepisode #1126 was focused primarily on the long-awaited return to Kuma’s subplot and, of course, the beginning ofLuffy’s fight with Kizaru. The former ultimately left more questions than answers as it remained unresolved, but as for the latter,Luffy and Kizaru’s fight quickly escalated to an incredible degree that left both parties ready to go all out. Even as an episode that was mostly setup, it was still plenty great to watch, and hopefully, episode #1127 will be even better to watch.

One Piece Episodes 1125 Review: A Visual And Narrative Success
One Piece Episode 1125 In Review
WhileOne Pieceepisode #1125 was mostly a transitional episode, it was still great from start to finish. Visually speaking, the episode was another one with consistent artwork and gorgeous animation, with Sentomaru and Kizaru’s fight and Luffy confronting Kizaru being standout examples, and as proven by the preview for episode #1126, even better content was quick to follow. Nowadays, it’s rare for an episode ofOne Piecenot to look good, but even so,One Pieceepisode #1125’s stunning visuals made it a great episode oftheOne Pieceanimeto watch from start to finish.
The narrative stakes of the episode also made it great to watch. While the longstanding friendship between Kizaru, Vegapunk, and Sentomaru was established in previous episodes, episode #1125 was the first episode to fully explore it, and in addition to making it surprisingly heartwarming,One Pieceepisode #1125 does a great job of how torn up Vegapunk, Sentomaru, and even Kizaru are about having to fight each other. The best episodes ofOne Pieceare always the ones with a human element to them, and while episode #1126 wasn’t like that, it was still plenty of fun to watch.
What Happened In One Piece Episode 1126?
Produced By Toei Animation; Directed By Hazuki Omoya
One Pieceepisode #1126, “Looming Despair! Admiral Kizaru’s Depressing Mission”, opened with a recap of Kuma’s subplot and eventually showed him running amok in Mary Geoise. Sakazuki arrived on Mary Geoise to kill Kuma, and with no way to fight Sakazuki,Kuma used his Paw-Paw Fruit on himself to send himself flying to parts unknown once more. Sakazuki then flashed back to when he encountered Bonney after the Paramount War and she refused to believe that Kuma willingly turned himself into a cyborg, all while the Celestial Dragons kept yelling at Sakazuki to fix the mess the Revolutionaries made.
Back on Egghead, Luffy’s fight with Kizaru was in full swing, with Kizaru already forcing Luffy into Gear 4 to fight him. Even with Gear 4, however, Luffy could barely even touch him Kizaru, and soon enough,Kizaru sent Luffy flying into the barrier with a powerful kick at the speed of light. Kizaru then destroyed the Vegaforce-01 and sent Bonney flying into the barrier, as well, and with no more distractions, Kizaru returned to his mission of killing Vegapunk.
At that time, Vegapunk, Atlas, and Edison had finally finished decrypting York’s password, so they were free to leave Egghead at anytime, but it was then and there that Kizaru materialized in front of everyone. Everything seemed hopeless for Vegapunk and the Straw Hats, but before Kizaru could do anything,Luffy, now in Gear 5, made his way to the control room and seized Kizaru in a giant form, and as Luffy let out Gear 5’s signature laugh, the iron giant from Vegapunk’s scrapyard suddenly had its eyes light up.
One Piece Is Already Gearing Up For The True Best Episode Of The Season
Why One Piece Episode 1127 Will Be Amazing
As much focus as the advertising forOne Piece’s return put on Luffy and Kizaru’s fight, it should be noted that episode #1126 isn’t the episode for that. As good as episode #1126 was, episode #1127 is set to bring back legendary animator Akihiro Ota, who famously animated Koby’s Honesty Impact, soOne Piecefans should be ready for episode #1127 to be the first truly gorgeous episode following the end of the anime’s hiatus. The preview is already suggesting as much, and hopefully, it will more than live up to the hype.
Something also worth looking forward to is what the episode will do withZoro and Lucci’s fight. In the corresponding manga chapter, not much was shown of their fight beyond a brief snippet to remind the readers that it was happening, but the episode preview is already showing scenes that weren’t in the manga, soOne Pieceepisode #1127 appears to be expanding on Zoro and Lucci’s fight with original content and gorgeous animation. Zoro and Lucci’s fight was largely wasted in the manga, so if the anime can add more to it, that would be great to see.
One Piece’s Latest Episode Was Great, But It Could Have Been Better
One Piece Episode 1126 Was Far From Perfect
Overall,One Pieceepisode #1126 was a bit of a mixed bag. While the art and animation certainly weren’t bad and featured plenty of great scenes, there were just as many scenes with visuals that were mostly passable at best, with everything that happened with Kuma on Mary Geoise being the biggest offender. One Pieceepisode #1126’s biggest problem was that its animation wasn’t very impressive more often than not, and while that’s nothing new forOne Piece, it’s a shame to see it so soon into the anime’s return.
That doesn’t mean episode #1126 was a bad episode, of course. In addition to looking good more often than not, the drama and comedy were as fun to watch unfold as ever, with the episode even having a clever way of illustrating the eye-popping gag that always goes along with Gear 5, so overall,One Pieceepisode #1126, while not the best episode, made the most out of what was largely a transitional episode. One Pieceepisode #1127 is looking to be a more substantial episode, and hopefully, it will build on episode #1126 to create something truly substantial.
Be sure to watchOne Pieceepisode #1127 when it releases on Sunday, April 27.
