Niantic has offered plenty of new additions to the roster ofPokemon GOsince its release, and judging by newly discovered network data, many more Pokemon from multiple generations appear to be in development for a future release.
Pokemon GOdataminer Chrales carefully analyzed network data forPokemon GOand discovered that Smeargle, Nincada, Ninjask, and Shedinja, Clamperl and Huntail, Jirachi, and Deoxys are all currently hidden in that data. None of these Pokemon can currently be found or caught while playingPokemon GO, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re coming right away. However, their presence in the game and completed standard and shiny sprites most likely means that these Pokemon are being prepped for a future update somewhere down the line. Chrales also uncovered a standard and shiny pair ofmodels for Celebi, which was previously announced as coming soon by Niantic.
Pokemon GOfans have plenty to look forward to in the near future, regardless of how long these new Pokemon take to arrive. Alongside these likely additions, Niantic has already confirmed that all Legendaries will eventually make their way toPokemon GO. The developer is also working on improved AR technology that, if it can deliver on its tech demo promise, will allowPokemon to interact with their environmentrather than just being displayed as standing in the room where the trainer is playing.
Pokemon GOis still a major hit, netting $70 million monthly for developer Niantic. Having brand new additions to the list of Pokemon to capture will likely boost these numbers further, especially as gamers wait for the release ofLet’s Go PikachuandEeveeon the Nintendo Switch, which will work hand-in-hand with the mobile title. With the release of that game not coming until November, that leaves plenty of time for gamers to get out there and look for these Pokemon inPokemon GOonce they’re officially added.
