The release of a new character inHonkai: Star Rail3.6 may represent the end of an era for one of 2025’s best characters so far, as they may powercreep the previous unit.Version 3.6 will be the next major update for the turn-based RPG. As expected, it will continue the Amphoreus story arc, and there will be twonew characters inHonkai: Star Rail3.6: Evernight and Dan Heng: Permansor Terrae.

Now, the Version 3.6 beta tests have started, and, because of them, the details about these new characters have been leaked. Evernight’s complete gameplay kit and other details about her have been shared onHoney Hunter World. According to the leaks, Evernight will be a 5-star Ice character on the Path of the Remembrance who will seemingly work as a support and sub-DPS in team comps.

Evernight May Become The Best Character For Castorice In HSR

The New Version 3.6 Character Can Increase Memosprites’ CRIT DMG

Based on the leaks, I suspect that Evernight may become the best character forCastorice team comps inHonkai: Star Rail.Evernight has a Passive Trace that increases the CRIT DMG of Memospritesbased on the number of Remembrance characters in her team, up to 50%. Furthermore, her Skill grants all Memosprites a fixed 40% CRIT DMG boost.

If you have four Remembrance characters in the team, this will give Castorice’s Memosprite, Netherwing, a 90% CRIT DMG boost, on top of whatever the dragon already has. In turn, you can have a better time building Castorice, too, focusing on a higher CRIT Rate figure. I believe that, because of this,Evernight inHonkai: Star Rail3.6will become Castorice’s best ally, but that will come at a cost.

Honkai Star Rail’s Tribbie smiles next to a door.

Evernight May Powercreep Tribbie In Honkai: Star Rail

The New Character’s Buffs Surpass Tribbie’s Buff

Because team comps can only have four characters, one of Castorice’s current allies will have to leave the formation, andI suspect that Evernight will replace Tribbie in this sense. Tribbie is a remarkable character; she can operate as a powerful sub-DPS, while also granting the team All-Type RES PEN, which increases the team’s damage output.

Tribbie’s build inHonkai: Star Railwill continue to be good, but for Castorice’s team, specifically, Evernight already feels like a better option. This is becauseEvernight’s leaked CRIT DMG buffs to memosprites give Netherwing a lot more value when compared to Tribbie’s All-Type RES PEN. Furthermore, if you were to remove Remembrance Trailblazer instead, you’d lose out on a portion of the CRIT DMG buff provided by Evernight.

Lastly, Evernight should fulfill the role of a sub-DPS, too. She will deal HP-scaling Ice DMG, and because of her Passives, she can reach a fixed 53.7% CRIT Rate stat (at level 80 with all Traces maxed out). Tribbie will be powercrept significantly by Evernight in Castorice teams, but you’ll still be able to use Tribbie in teams for Mydei inHonkai: Star Rail, for example.
