It appears as though Activision has a newCrash Bandicootgame up its sleeve. Images of aCrash Bandicootmobile game has leaked online, potentially revealing the game’s developer and details on how it will play.
The images show that mobile game developer King, the same company behindCandy Crush Saga, is working on the unannouncedCrash Bandicootmobile game.Activision Blizzard acquired Kingfor a hefty chunk of change a few years ago, and considering its success in the mobile gaming market, it makes sense for it to be given the reigns of theCrash Bandicootmobile game.

The images also show some gameplay, revealing fairly impressive graphics for a mobile game and what seems likely to be an endless runner for Crash. There is also base-building mechanics at work, which seems to be the most logical place for its monetization to take root. Players will likely be able to use microtransactions to speed up the construction of buildings at their base, though that is just speculation at this time.
It should be noted that while this is fairly compelling evidence, fans shouldn’t count on aCrash Bandicootmobile game until Activision itself officially announces it. There was no mention of the game made inActivision’s recent earnings call, so we can’t rule out the possibility that these images are just convincing fakes. However, it makes sense for Activision to leverage a popular IP likeCrash Bandicootas a mobile game, and so something like this seems like an inevitability.
Fans have been clamoring for a proper newCrash Bandicootgame for years, only for nothing to ever materialize. However, the massive sales success of theCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogyproves that there’s still quite a bit of potential for the franchise, and so a new game should come sooner rather than later. Though it’s possible Activision will decide toremaster some of the otherCrash Bandicootgamesbefore it pursues a brand new project.
Whatever the case may be, perhaps thisCrash Bandicootmobile game can tide fans over until a propernewCrash Bandicootgamecan be announced. When that may be remains to be seen.
