A new action-comedy movie featuring a reunion of two of the stars ofPitch Perfectfranchise has been met with derision from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The trilogy of musical comedy movies, which followed the exploits of the college a cappella group the Barden Bellas, debuted in theaters between 2012 and 2019, followed by the one-season Peacock spinoffBumper in Berlinin 2022.
Joining the ensemble cast of thePitch Perfectmovieshelped cement a number of up-and-coming stars who have since gone on to other major projects. Rotten Tomatoeshas now aggregated enough reviews to give the movie an official score. While this could fluctuate as more reviews are added, at the time of writing,12 critics' reviews have been collected to giveBride Harda dismal 25% score. While the three Fresh reviews have given it mixed-to-positive ratings that include scores of B- and 3 out of 4, the Rotten reviews are much harsher on average, giving the movie a variety of bottom-of-the-barrel ratings including 1.5 out of 5, 1 out of 10, D-, and 0 out of 4.

The joke writing is atrocious — after a climactic explosion, the bride makes [the pun], “At least my wedding is lit!” — and the tearful final reunion isn’t earned at all. Even the outtakes that play alongside the end credits aren’t funny. We’re only halfway through the year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Bride Hard ends up being the worst movie of 2025.
