MrBeast has a question for his fans: would they vote for him if he ran for President of the United States? The YouTuber often gets the attention of the public eye through his viral videos and due to major donations made towards charitable causes, but not all of that attention is positive.Most recently,MrBeast drew heaton the internet for his recent video in which he paid for cataract surgery for a thousand people. While the surgery did restore the sight of many, some were agitated by the video. They argued that MrBeast’s efforts weren’t philanthropic and were just an effort to gain attention and fame. With two million votes and counting at the time of writing, the answer is an overwhelming yes, with 70% choosing yes and 30% saying no. There are likely many who would appreciate seeing MrBeast in this role, given his philanthropic efforts in the past. However, there were also many in the comments that expressed a negative opinion towards popular entertainment figures running for government offices.
It’s worth pointing out thatMrBeast can’t actually run for presidentanytime soon. Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson will turn 25 this year, so he would have to wait another decade to run for the job. A lot could change between now and then, so MrBeast may not even want the role by the time he’s an eligible age. However, this isn’t the first time he’s brought up the idea of being the president, so it seems the concept has remained on his mind.
Amusingly,MrBeast has had a run-in with the current President of the United States, Joe Biden. Early in 2022, MrBeast was setting up to film a video with a blimp, but he and his blimp ended up grounded instead. As it tuns out, President Biden was aboard a flight landing at the same airport, which led to all flights being temporarily grounded for his safety.
