As the PlayStation VR2 is set to release next February, Sony announced that two of the best virtual reality games ever will be available on its upcoming headset:Moss, and its sequelMoss: Book 2. These games are already available for pre-order for PlayStation VR2 on the PlayStation 5 store.
The originalMosscame out in 2018 for the PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus headsets. This game follows the story of a reader transported to a fantasy world through an old book. He meets a young mouse named Quill and embarks on a mission to save the rodent’s kingdom. This action-adventure game received positive reviews, and its success led to a sequel released in 2022.Moss: Book 2received largely positive reviews, winning several awards including VR Game of the Year at the VR Awards and being a runner-up for Best VR/AR Game at The Game Awards.

Sony revealed through its latest blog post thatMossand its sequelMoss: Book 2will be available on thePlayStation VR2 upon its release, scheduled for February 2023. Both games were enhanced to benefit from the latest PlayStation VR2 features, with improved haptics to better feel damaging attacks to the in-game hero, a two-controller setup to interact with the world more easily, adaptive triggers to adjust the amount of force when performing an action, and eye tracking technology to further guide the players throughout the missions. The PlayStation VR2 versions ofMossandMoss: Book 2also feature foveated rendering, increased field of view, and run at 90 FPS in 4K to better immerse the players in this fantasy world.
MossandMoss: Book 2are the latestlaunch games announced for the PlayStation VR2.Horizon Call of the Mountain,No Man’s Sky,Among Us, andHello Neighbor’s spin-offSearch and Rescueare already confirmed for Sony’s VR headset. More games should be announced for the PlayStation VR2 in the upcoming months, as the headset will launch in February 2023.
