Prior toMortal Kombat 11’s launch, datamining efforts potentially leaked the game’s entire roster of DLC characters. This included guest characters likeAsh Williams from theEvil Deadfranchise, whose chainsaw arm and proficiency with sawed-off shotguns make him a perfect fit for theMortal Kombat 11roster. Fans hoping to see Ash Williams inMortal Kombat 11had their hopes dashed when Ash actor Bruce Campbell himself denied the rumors on Twitter, but it seems that he may have just been teasing fans all along.

NetherRealm Studios recently released a trailer for theMortal Kombat 11Kombat Pack 1 that mostly focused on showcasing Shang Tsung’s abilities. The end of the trailer revealed the other characters coming toMortal Kombat 11as part of Kombat Pack 1, which includes the likes of Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn. However, the end of the trailer has fans buzzing, as it seems to be teasing that Ash Williams is one of the two remaining guest fighters coming to the game.

At the end of theMortal Kombat 11Kombat Pack 1 trailer, fans can hear a chainsaw revving and see blood splatter the screen. Since Ash famously has a chainsaw for a hand, many have taken this as an official tease that he is coming to theMortal Kombat 11roster.

Of course, some fans may point out that Ash is far from the only pop culture character associated with chainsaws, and in fact,Mortal Kombat Xhad its own chainsaw-wielding maniac in the form of Leatherface. However, a follow-up tweet from Bruce Campbell has more or less confirmed thatMK11is indeed teasing Ash Williams DLC.

If Ash Williams is an upcoming guest fighter forMortal Kombat 11, that still leaves one guest fighter spot open for Kombat Pack 1. If the pastMortal Kombat 11DLC fighter leakis real, then that means the third guest fighter is likely to be the Joker from DC Comics. With a standaloneJokerfilm coming in October, it would make sense for the Crown Prince of Crime to be added toMortal Kombat 11as a way to promote the film.

Mortal Kombat 11fans can look forward to the rest of the DLC fighters being revealed in the coming months.

Mortal Kombat 11is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
