WithMonster Hunter Risenow available on PC, there has been a wave of hunters new and old taking up their favored weapons in pursuit of glory. WhileMonster Hunter Riseis generous with providing starting equipment for veteran players, there is still some gathering and crafting to be done. In order to speed up that process and shorten the grind, having a guide or two handy can only help.
One crafting component that is found early on and is usable in a variety of sets is the Sharp Claw. They are found on a variety of low-level small monsters like the Ludroth and Jagras and are key incrafting several pieces of armorand weapons like the Bone Scythe and Bone Helm.

The Ludroth is found in the Flooded Forest and Lava Caverns and is the target in the “Ladies of the Lake” and “Like a Flash of Lightning” quests. Jagras can be found only in the Shrine Ruins and the “Unpious Peons” and “Like a Flash of Lightning” quests. Uroktor are found in areas 13 and 14 of the Lava Caverns and in the “The Lava Caverns Sweep” and “Lava Caverns Sub-Camp Security” quests.
Rachnoid are found in the Sandy Plains and Lava Caverns in addition to the “The Lava Caverns Sweep” quest. The Izuchi can be found in the Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands in addition to the “Help with Maintenance,” “Off the Beaten Path,” “Dango Duty,” and “Shrine Ruins Sub-Camp Security” quests.Whether hunting solo or joining a quest, players are bound to run into these monsters nearly everywhere.
There are plenty of ways to harvest Sharp Claws through either targeted hunts or while on other hunts. With a bountiful supply of the small monsters in nearly every zone, players should have little issue farming however many they need to craft the gear they’re after. Should there be no need for them,the item sells for 50 Zenny.
