Monster Crownhas just received a brand new update. ThePokemon-like game, which iscurrently in Early Access,Monster Crownreceived its first update last month, and included online monster trading, NET Eggs, and the “Move Learner.” Today’s update adds more features and content.
Monster Crownis already a big success on Steam, as there seems to always be an appetite forPokemonstyle games. Studio Aurum’s monster taming RPG,Monster Crownallows players to explore a big word, fight, breed, capture, and fuse over 200 base monster variations, compete against other people, and make difficult decisions in fighting against evil.

The second content update includes three “monstrous” additions. A new gene lap has been added to theMonster Crown, allowing for more experimentation in creating custom breeds of monsters. High-temperature breeding is also now a part of the game, resulting in embryos that are very valuable. The update also brings a brand new monster named Apo, which is apparently rather harmless.
Many considerMonster Crownto be one of the best new indie titles. It is not only aPokemon-likethat copies some of the core mechanics of the game, but it also has very deep gameplay mechanics that many fans of the Nintendo and Gamefreak developedPokemonhave been asking and hoping for. Players can also battle and trade online. The deeper, and in some ways more mature, gameplay also comes with a more adult tone. The story of the game is much more dismal than the averagePokemontitle and content and language are also on the mature side as well.
Monster Crownis out now in Steam Early Access.
