Minecraft Dungeonsmay have fallen out of the spotlight surprisingly quickly, but Mojang is still dedicated to supporting the ARPG with post-launch content. The first DLC release, Jungle Awakens, added three new missions, as well as new weapons, armor, and artifacts to discover. Now Mojang is ready to release itsCreeping WinterDLC forMinecraft Dungeons, too. And in a new trailer forCreeping Winter, players can see just what awaits them in the new DLC.
In a newMinecraft DungeonsDiaries video fromMojang Studios, the development team spends six minutes breaking down what players can look forward to in the upcoming update. To start, the team discusses a big free update coming out alongsideCreeping Winter. The free update will add two big new features to the game in Daily Trials and new merchants.

The new merchants in the upcoming free update will be the Blacksmith and the Gift Wrapper. The Blacksmith will upgrade items for players, while the Gift Wrapper will allow players to trade their items to other players inMinecraft Dungeons' multiplayer. Plus, merchants can now be leveled up so that they have additional items available. The Daily Trials feature is, as its name implies, a daily challenge map that experiments with various new in-game features.
After detailing the free update, the devs go into detail regardingMinecraft Dungeons’Creeping WinterDLC. To start, they explain the new winter biome, which adds mechanics like slippery ice and water that can freeze the player instantly. Enemies also have ice-themed attacks and will throw snowballs or make magical ice blocks appear above the player’s head. Even if they don’t have new attacks, they’ll have a new wintery look.
All this and more in both the free and paid updates coming on September 8 as part of theCreeping Winterrelease.Creeping Winter’s price has yet to be confirmed, though theJungle AwakensDLCcost $5.99 at launch. Alternatively, the completeMinecraft Dungeons Heroic Editionretails for $29.99.
