As many predicted,Halo Infinitewas not only at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference, but the title capped off the event with anew story based trailer called Discover Hope. The entirely CG trailer introduced fans to the pilot of the UNSC Pelican, an NPC who ultimately finds Master Chief and is able to revive him from his stasis due to floating out in space for an unknown length of time. For those hoping for more information on the game, it’s going to be quite a while.

In a post-E3 recap, on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries studio head Chris Lee provided a bit more clarity into the next steps forHalo Infinite. Unfortunately, the studio plans to go dark for nearly a year with Lee admitting that E3 2020 is going to be a big moment for the game. Until then, the team plans on keeping quiet and continuing development of the game, hardware, and brand new Slipspace Engine that powers the experience.
