The Last Wolverineis one of four newly announcedAge of Revelationseries from Marvel, bringing the total number of upcoming titles in this new era to 13. That number may still grow. As Marvel revealed,The Last Wolverinewill follow Wendigo as he steps into the role of Wolverine.
The series will be written by Saladin Ahmed with art by Edgar Salazar and comes with the following synopsis:
“WHAT HAPPENED TO WOLVERINE? X YEARS LATER, the people of Vancouver cheer a new hero: the WONDERFUL WOLVERINE, A.K.A. the WENDIGO, Logan’s last student. But what happened to Logan? A secret from Wolverine’s past will set the Last Wolverine on a mission to uphold his mentor’s legacy… unless a dire threat burns it all down first!”

The image shows Wendigo wearing Wolverine’s classic costume and even rocking Logan’s signature hairstyle, making him feel like a natural fit for the role.
While Wendigo’s debut as Wolverine looks incredible, it’s the background that has caught fans' attention. Behind Wendigo stands a figure who appears to be Logan himself, now wearing a sinister half-skull mask. This detail may suggest that Logan is still alive but no longer aligned with the heroes. If that’s the case,Wendigomay not just be replacing Logan asWolverine, he may be stepping up to oppose him.
